CMAC is a non-profit, tax exempt organization set up in 1997 to promote Carnatic Music and Dance in the Greater Charlotte Area of North Carolina.

CMAC has four primary goals to fulfill its mission. First, host vocal and instrumental concerts of top ranking Carnatic musicians. Second, host solo and group dance performances (Bharthanatyam, Kuchipudi and others). Third, provide a forum to show case local talent, and finally, conduct workshops for amateur music enthusiasts.

Since inception, CMAC has been fortunate to have the active collaboration and in-kind support of the Music Department of Davidson College whether in terms of access to their finest concert venues or the associated technical infrastructure and manpower support.
